Low-temperature microbial decontamination using plasma-activated gas.
The RPS30+ biodeco is an MSDBD-based biodecontamination chamber that inactivates bacteria (including antibiotic-resistant strains), biofilms and spores on thermally sensitive materials — using a plasma-activated gas medium (ozone- and hydrogen-peroxide-rich atmosphere) that fills the chamber, without direct plasma exposure to the treated items.
Unlike conventional systems, this chamber employs the plasma unit to create a plasma-activated medium that envelops the stored materials inside, delivering a thorough decontamination effect without direct plasma exposure. This unique approach ensures a high level of decontamination while preserving the integrity of even the most delicate items, making it ideal for industries requiring safe, non-thermal decontamination methods.

Applications
Bacterial Inactivation: Effective elimination of a wide range of bacterial pathogens, including antibiotic-resistant strains, ensuring a higher level of sterilization.
Biofilm Eradication: Removal and destruction of biofilms, which are complex structures of microbial communities, to prevent recurrent contamination and enhance surface cleanliness.
Spore Inactivation: Inactivation of resilient spores, including those of bacteria and fungi, that are typically resistant to standard disinfection methods, providing thorough sterilization.
Decontamination of Thermally Sensitive Materials: Safe decontamination of surfaces on thermally sensitive materials without causing heat-induced damage, making it suitable for delicate equipment and components.
Frequently Asked Questions
The RPS30+ biodeco is an MSDBD-based decontamination chamber: two 30 W multi-hollow units fill the chamber with plasma-activated gas rich in ozone and hydrogen peroxide. Stored items are decontaminated without direct plasma contact and without heat, in preset cycles of 6–60 minutes.
Thermally sensitive equipment and materials that standard disinfection methods damage. The plasma-activated gas inactivates bacteria, including antibiotic-resistant strains, eradicates microbial biofilms and inactivates bacterial and fungal spores that resist common disinfectants.
The items never touch the plasma: the MSDBD units activate the surrounding gas, and the ozone and hydrogen peroxide it carries reach all exposed surfaces of the stored items, including geometries a direct discharge cannot follow. Low temperature preserves delicate components.
