Research Institute of Textile Chemistry (VÚTCH–CHEMITEX, spol. s r.o.) located in Žilina has been engaged in research, development and innovation in the field of textile processing and surface treatment of textile materials for many years. The research activities and the innovation efforts led to development of ZUP 400 prototype device enabling low-temperature plasma treatment of textile materials at atmospheric pressure using four DCSBD plasma units. Integration of the ZUP 400 into the SAAG semi-operating line allows us to apply low-temperature plasma at atmospheric pressure in continuous in-line mode for macro-structural modification of textile materials and their subsequent nano-coating. The innovated semi-operating line with built-in ZUP 400 is a unique device of its kind in Slovak Republic.
