The DCSBD by ROPLASS was utilized in different research projects by our group Plasma Technology at the University of Kiel, Germany. For example, its application has been studied in a project "NanoMet" funded by the AiF.
In 2017 ROPLASS installed a DCSBD system in our plasma application laboratory. At the same time we started a close research cooperation in the field of plasma pretreatment for glass and polymer surfaces.
The DCSBD plasma system works reliably and was utilized in different research projects for microbial inactivation on dry surfaces.
The research activities and the innovation efforts led to development of ZUP 400 prototype device enabling low-temperature plasma treatment of textile materials at atmospheric pressure using four DCSBD plasma units.
